Forever Dark Green

by Lisa Herron

This started as a sketch and then was scanned into photoshop and colored. I used a 80pixle diameter soft brush to lay down the base color and the smudge tool. I then added highlights and shadows using the smudge and dodge tools. The flames were done using the smudge tool. The tree highlights were done using a chartreuse color at 12 percent opacity and the smudge tool and soft brush. I used the copy and clone tools for the scales. The wing spots were made with Photoshop brushes. The building and the grass and trees are all made from Photoshop brushes. The fog on the ground is made from Photoshop brushes of different green colors and opacity.
