I got the idea for this when I was reminded of an old kids TV show from the 90's called 'ZAPP' where this artist used to draw things on a white canvas and they would pop out and come to life.

I set myself a target to have a go at hair, and I think it came out ok.

My fave part is probably how the see through jaw came out, as I thought I was going to mess it up!

This piece was inspired by the film 'Black Swan' with Natalie Portman. I wanted to create a whimsical feel to this design, with a subtle colour pallet. Made up of stock images it includes techniques like warp, various blurs and hand drawn elements.

This is a tribute / collaboration to one of my favorite artists, if you havn´t recognized the creature by now, its a recent work from http://pascalblanche.deviantart.com -> http://goo.gl/TMjdI

I have to say I´m a fan of his great creature -designs for a good decade now! On facebook he posted some WIP pictures directly from within zbrush the other day, which presented the rough base for my creation, which I´d like to share with permission from Pascal.

With the coloring I went for another tribute to a master of 3d illustration, named Steven Stahlberg.

The inspiration for the idea was the eighties movie "the gods must be crazy" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080801/ where a traveling Bushman encounters modern civilization and its stranger aspects. I liked the idea of having a Shaman or Oracle worshiping modern products as something magic, which is similar to how children perceive our technological environments.

This should also make us think about how dull we are to our everyday technology and appreciate our achievements a little more.

New Personal fantasy character concept done in Photoshop CS5

Matte-painting used for artwork and CD packaging of of death metal band. Blind and devoured Justitia should express abomination of modern era based on material values and money, lack of humanity etc. etc. Whole image was created 2D in 6,5x1,5k res (this is cropped version because of better center composition), used many plates, day to night teqniques, additional advanced painting, texturing and postproduction techniques. Hope you re going to like it
